Timezone Scheduling
Published 09/13/2024
Scheduling events between people in multiple timezones is generally always a pain. I’ve found a few solutions that work, but they tend to include features I don’t need, making it overly complicated.
Since I’ve been making web tools, I thought creating a timezone scheduler would be a quick and easy project.
My goals were to have nothing more than a title and a time & date picker. The timezone could be optionally changed, but it should be set automatically from the browser.
When the event is shared, it should show the time till, or the time past. As a bonus I figured adding export to calendar would be a good idea.
I’m pretty happy with the results. I’ve used it quite a bit since I’ve written it, so I’m glad to be able to actually use some of these tools. Feel free to check out my Timezone Event Scheduler.
It’s open sourced under MIT, so feel free to make any changes you would like, or run your own copy if you want. I’m open to changes, so if you have any suggestions or would like to collaborate please feel free to contact me through the information in my about page.
